There will not be a 9% ad tax in 2018, Lajos Kósa, parliamentary group leader of the governing Fidesz, said. Economy Minister Mihaly Varga earlier submitted an amendment proposing to raise the tax on advertising to 9% from 5.3% from June 2017 for taxpayers with revenue exceeding 100 million forints (EUR 320,000). more »

China’s BYD on Tuesday opened a 6.2 billion forint (EUR 20m) electric bus plant in Komárom (NW Hungary). The plant will turn out 400 vehicles a year which will be delivered to big cities in Europe.
