"Inflation was 4.5% year-on-year in March, the Central Statistics Office announced Tuesday. Core inflation was 2.5% year-on-year, up from 1.9% a in February. Hungarian MPs May Be Required To Pay 98% Tax
"Fidesz may amend the law on special taxes to make former MPs subject to the 98% tax on severance pay, Nepszabadsag reports. The change would affect only former Free Democrat MPs Gabriella Beki, Peter Gusztos, Janos Koka and Gabor Vilagosi, as well as Socialist former MP Gyorgy Podolak. The 98% tax applies only to severance pay above Ft 3.5 million. more »
