Szijjártó Expects Record Exports In 2016
Based on already available figures, Hungary’s exports are expected to be record high this year, Péter Szijjártó, the minister for foreign affairs and trade, said at an event organised by Eximbank. Minimum Wages To Significantly Increase
Wages for unskilled workers will be raised by 15% and for skilled workers by 25% in 2017, according to Hungary's economy minister, Mihály Varga. He said that in 2018 the minimum wages will be increased by a further 8% and 12%, respectively. more »

Parliament approved on Tuesday the government’s so-called autumn tax package targeting reducing the public burden, boosting competitiveness and streamlining the tax bureaucracy. Gross Wages Up 6.7% In Sept
Average gross wages in Hungary rose by an annual 6.7% in September to 257,857 forints (EUR 834), the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported. Net wages grew by 8.3% to 171,475 forints due to a one percentage point cut in the personal income tax rate from January. more »
