'Children's Day', Hűvösvölgy, Budapest, 30 May
"On Sunday, 30th May 2010 the Children's Railway and sponsors are going to organise traditional children's day programmes in Huvosvolgy. In Hungary Children's Day is celebrated on the last Sunday every May. This year is it going to fall on 30th May.

Among many other things, children will be able to sing and dance along with characters from children's tales, watch puppet shows and sit down to do some craftsman work. There is even going to be giant model car race with remote control.

The modelling club of the Foundation for Children's Railway Participants is going to open up its exhibition room, too. Tables, models in use and in windows are going to be put on show along with railway relics and an installation of garden model railways.

Children and adults alike can take a ride on the handcar. A provisional track is going to be laid on the occasion to ride it on.

There is going to be something to watch all day on the stage adjacent to Huvosvolgy Station. New shows start at every top of the hour.

At 11:00 am and 2:00 pm policemen will show off their skills and tricks. The informal display is going to include working with trained police dogs as well.

The programmes begin at 10:00 am and last until 6:00 pm approximately.

On this day, under fourteen-year-olds can travel for free on the services of the Children's Railway thanks to the event's sponsors:

Trains will be operated according to the usual summer Sunday timetable. The heritage services of the steam engine and the railcar set are going to be available, too.

In addition to standard and heritage services, a special trainset, hauled by a C50 type diesel engine, is going to shuffle between Szechenyi-hegy and Viragvolgy Stations."
