The World Travel Awards voted Le Méridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort as “Thailand’s Leading Spa Resort” at the end of 2011.
Early this year XpatLoop.com visited the resort to gain first-hand experience of the facilities and services. The conclusion, in short, is that the hotel completely lives up to this major accolade, hailed as 'The Travel Industry Oscars', read on for a full report.
It's worth noting that the World Travel Awards are acknowledged as the ultimate travel accolade, celebrating holiday brands that push the boundaries of industry excellence. These awards are determined via polling that invites travel; tourism and hospitality professionals around the world to cast their votes in over 1,000 different categories.

The Tublamu 18-hole golf course located by the beach is the closest golf course only 30 minute drive from the resort. Diving and snorkeling are the a attraction given it's location so close to one of the world’s top dive sites, The Similand Islands, just an hour by speed boat from Tublamu pier.
