Actor Tony Curtis, who became famous with his role in “Some Like It Hot”, died at 85. In a solemn funeral he was buried in Las Vegas on Monday. More than 400 guests, celebrities, family members and fans took part at the memorial service held in the chapel of the Palm Valley Memorial Park where besides funeral speeches and Jewish prayers a short-film was presented with the actor’s best moments on the screen.

The coffin was draped in the American flag. Jill Vanders, the artist’s sixth wife disclosed that Tony Curtis was buried in his white pullover, having his favorite Armani scarf and motor gloves on, and with his traveling bag, containing among other things three of his Hungarian remembrances: one of his father’s tailor tools, an object from the Dohány Street Synagogue and a decoration awarded by the Hungarian government. According to the widow, Tony Curtis was very proud of his Hungarian roots.
