Orban Praises Hungarian Companies
"There is no advancement and economic recovery without Hungarian companies, as honest and fair domestic companies form the basis for renewal, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said last week.

He told a function marking the 15th birthday of the Hungarian-owned Coop food retail chain that the cabinet respects and embraces Hungarian SMEs, as their revenues do not leave the country, but enrich and develop Hungary, “while we cannot say the same about the profits of foreign-owned multinational companies”.

Cheap and often low-quality foreign commodities cannot compete with Hungarian goods, he declared.

Sandor Demjan, president of the entrepreneurs association VOSZ, called for the creation of a Hungarian-owned hypermarket chain."
