Hungarian Ft 15bn Set Aside For EU Presidency
"Hungary will spend Ft 15.5 billion, or about €56 million, on its EU presidency in the first half of 2011, far less than the €130 million that the Czech Republic spent during its term in the first half of 2009, Magyar Hírlap reports.

Hungary will host most informal ministerial meetings at the Grassalkovich Castle in Gödöllő. Exceptions will be the agricultural ministers meeting in Debrecen and the telecoms ministers meeting in Balatonfüred.

Other EU-related events will be held in Eger, Esztergom, Pápa, Szarvas, Szentendre, Szeged, Szombathely, Várpalota and Visegrád, to present the country to visitors.

Some 260 professional events will be organised at various levels and 35,000-40,000 foreign guests are expected."
