Majestic Advent Palace Days In Gödöllő, Hungary
For the weekend of 18-19 December, the Royal Palace in Gödöllő organizes the Advent Palace Days for the 10th time. The spirit of a majestic Christmas is brought back at the Baroque Royal Palace in Gödöllő for the tenth time during the Advent Palace Days.

135 years ago the Imperial Family spent the Christmas in Gödöllő for the sake of the youngest child, Maria Valeria who was then 5 years old. Now Christmas festivities wrap the greatly adored castle of Sissy; music and the scent of baked apples, “beigli” and roasted chestnut fill the palace, the various and exciting advent workshops for children and adults, a mini amusement park and a live Bethlehem await the visitors for two weekends.

The wide range of programs attracts the attention of every guest and makes the festival a place worth to visit. In the mornings the stage changes into the magical world of tales with Christmas acting performances or puppet shows and famous Hungarian actors telling stories for the little ones. In the meantime the different workshops give a good opportunity for the preparation of some Christmas decorations or eventually some unique gifts can be purchased for the loved ones.

The pompous but welcoming Baroque Theatre and Assembly Hall is going to host piano and special advent concerts, musicals and opera events during the four evenings.

Some of the programs are free of charge, for some others guests need a ticket. Prices vary.
