Xpat Report: Merry Mikulás Party, 7 December

Venue: Le Meridien Budapest, V. Erzsébet tér 9 -10.

Timing: 6.30-7p.m in the hotel bar, 7-8.30 p.m. downstairs.

Note: Guests are advised to arrive on time to enjoy snacks from hotel chef Laurent Vandenameele.

Keren Hanan will play Mikulás tunes especially for Xpat guests (to sing along with if they wish ;) in the hotel bar from 6.45 p.m. This special mini-concert is intended to set a festive mood for this seasonal event.

Keren has given recitals throughout the world, including in New York, Boston, Rome, London, Budapest, Vietnam and China.

In the last few years, she has played with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra in New York, to name just a few.

Keren is also a painter and has had exhibitions across the globe. As of 2010, Keren resides in Budapest, working alongside Ferenc Rados, where she plays piano and displays her work at the Kogart.

Thanks are due to Gergely Somogyi of Tokaj Wine Tours. He asked us to let you know that the wines presented by the Béres Winery will be available for purchase at the event, and so this is a golden opportunity to buy a few special bottles from Tokaj to give as gifts or enjoy at home with loved-ones over the holiday season.
