Budapest Transport Company BKV To Close Sports Club This Month
"BKV Előre SC, the sports club of Budapest public transport company BKV, will close down in late February as the company can no longer fund it, a source told state news agency MTI. It will be announced on Thursday that salaries for athletes and technical staff will not be paid this month.

BKV acting managing director Tibor Bolla told the BKV Előre president on Wednesday that the sports club will have to close.

The club founded in 1912 has kayak-canoe, football, weightlifting and bowling departments.

The football team currently lies 14th in one of the country’s two second-tier leagues."
