Invitation: 'Grandhouse Club', Budapest, 10 April
"A new society has been formed for English speakers that aims to infuse a novel component into the intellectual and social life in Budapest. The Grandhouse Club has already enlisted over 100 members who will meet periodically for lunchtime gatherings and addresses from prominent personalities on varying uplifting topics of current interest to those of us who live here.

Dr. Józef Tóth, economist, Senior Vice-President of the World Petroleum Council and Honorary Consul-General of Sinagpore, will be the Grandhouse Club's inaugural guest speaker on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at the Duna Palota (1051 Bp; Zrínyi utca 5).

The cost of the event is 4,000 HUF + Áfa for members and 6,000 HUF + Áfa for non- members.

A buffet lunch with coffee and mineral water will be offered. (Other drinks are to be purchased separately.)

The Grandhouse Club is a new conception of Dr. Albert Royaards which objective is to bring together English speaking Hungarians, the newer and the more settled expatriates in Hungary, diplomats and visiting friends. This international Club plans to meet at regular intervals for lunch-time gatherings for good food and company that will include short talks from interesting guest speakers on variety of topics. The ultimate desire is for our members and guests to enjoy an uplifting few hours.

Dr. Józef Tóth has lead a distinguished career. He is the Executive Chairman of the Board of Olajterv Oil and Gas Engineering Group and an honorary professor at the University of Veszprém. He has degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Veszprém, the Budapest University of Economics, post-graduate work at the Imperial College, London University and a Ph.D in Economics.

His working career has included such positions as Managing Director of Mineralimpex Hungarian Trading Company for Oil and Mining Products and Managing Director of MOL Hungarian Oil.

He is the founding member of the Far East Business Club in Hungary, the Hungarian Foreign Trade Association and the founding and current chairman of the Hungarian Petroleum Association.

Everyone is invited to join this inaugural lunch as a guest. Seats are however limited."
