Danube Multicultural Carnival In Budapest, 9-17 June
This international festival in Budapest includes a series of international dance and music programs. The carnival atmosphere will be enhanced by the various forms of artistic expression involved including folk dance and music, contemporary dance, world music, symphonic and brass music. In addition to traditional Hungarian and modern dance groups, the carnival will incorporate many performers from Europe as well as guest ensembles from Asia.

This year nearly 400 international artists will be performing at the carnival which will span Budapest and beyond.

The sites: Vörösmarty Square, Margaret Island Open Air Theatre, Duna Palace – Zrínyi Street, Heritage House, Mátyásföld, Békásmegyer, Budakalász, Üröm.

Third Chain Bridge International Folk Dance Competition with the participation of international guest ensembles, the primary objective is enhancing the intercultural dialogue with the spirit of tradition and modernity.

June 15, Friday 2 pm
Budafok, Záborszky Cellar Bp., XXII. Nagytétényi út 24-26.
Wine City Carnival dance and music in the Wine Museum

June 12-16, 4 pm
Vörösmarty Square outdoor concerts, Hungarian and foreign folk dance and music, contemporary dance, folk art exhibition and fair, plus world music and brass music.

June 16, Saturday 3 pm
Carnival Parade in the heart of Budapest more than 800 participants will join the Carnival Parade from St. Stephen Cathedral. Dance and music groups celebrate all the way to Vörösmarty Square in downtown Budapest.

June 17, Sunday 8 pm
Margaret Island Open Air Stage
17th Danube Carnival Gala
A spectacular event with early three hundred international and Hungarian artists with the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble and the Duna Art Ensemble.
