Világbüfé Festival - Integration Through The Kitchen, Budapest, 21 June
Világbüfé is a culinary festival of a slightly different matter. On the surface it is a celebration of the multi-faceted ethnic cuisines palette that Budapest today boasts. Bellow the line is an effort to target the Hungarian public with the goal to increase its awareness and knowledge of the Migration and Integration topics and stimulate openness towards immigrants and willingness for dialogue with them.

Food is a cultural resource which brings people together, at the same time reflecting their heritage, manners and way of life.

There is a group of migrants in Hungary that can claim they have achieved successful integration into Hungarian everyday life. They are the ethnic gastro-entrepreuners who continue day by day to successfully win acceptance for both themselves and their culture through their national dishes.

The "Világbüfé Day of the Ethnic Cuisines” will take place in Budapest on June 21, with the participation of 35 ethnic restaurants.

Also part of the project are the 3-day Migrowave music festival and Világbüfé photo exhibition, which will tale place in September on the A38 Boat

The project is financed by The European Union's Fund for Integration and the Hungarian state.
