Fourth Car Crash Passenger Dies In Hungary
The fourth passenger in a car that was involved in a crash on M3 motorway on Tuesday died of burn injuries in Budapest’s Honvéd hospital on Thursday, Pest county police announced. The 54-year-old woman had suffered second- and third-degree burns in the crash.

A Slovak BMW smashed into a Fiat Punto which then careened into a barrier and burst into flames, killing its three other occupants.

The 35-year-old Slovak woman who caused the accident remains in police custody in Budapest.

A court rejected an appeal for bail and house arrest on the grounds that she might flee or go into hiding. She has appealed the decision.

The suspect was driving under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred. It is assumed that she fell asleep while driving.
