Congratulations To Hungary On Their Great Paralympic Achievements
Many congratulations from the British Embassy in Budapest to the Hungarian Paralympic Team on their outstanding performance at the London Paralympic Games. The Hungarian Team secured 14 medals, far exceeding their performance in Beijing. This extraordinary performance shows the excellent preparation of the Hungarian para-athletes. We hope all participants will return home with wonderful and eternal memories from the greatest disabled sport event in the world.

British Ambassador Jonathan Knott commented on the Hungarian success:

"After the outstanding successes of the Hungarian team at the Olympic Games, the Hungarian para-athletes grabbed the headlines with some outstanding Paralympic performances.

We saw Tamás Sors defend his Paralympic title, Péter Pálos invincible in table tennis and Zsuzsanna Krajnyák winning the Silver Medal in the women’s individual épée despite a shoulder injury. In addition to this – as far as I know – it was for the first time in Paralympic history that 3 Hungarians reached the final in the same swimming event.

Congratulations to all members of the Hungarian Paralympic Team! You did GREAT!"
