Road Toll Tender In Hungary - Getronics Asks For More Time
IT firm Getronics asked state motorway manager AAK for more time instead of signing the contract on creating an electronic road toll system as scheduled, Nepszabadsag reports. Getronics, winner of the relevant tender last month, suggested an end of January date for the signing ceremony.

Reports say that the company’s Belgian owner will approve the contract only if deals with all subcontractors are signed, but some subcontractors insist on first getting the approval of the parent.

The project cannot afford a delay of one month if the system is to be operative by the planned date of July 1, 2013, Nepszabadsag writes, adding that the AAK might therefore sign a contract with the second-placed bidder, T-Systems.

Getronics offered to build the toll system for Ft 34.9 billion, while T-Systems put in a bid of Ft 53.5 billion.
