Socialists Unleash Attack Ads In Hungary
The Socialist Party launches an advertising campaign today featuring attack ads targeted at Economy Minister György Matolcsy and education state secretary Rózsa Hoffmann.

One poster with an orange background depicts Matolcsy with the caption “Fidesz: unprecedented economic failure,” in which the word “failure” replaces the crossed-out word “success”.

The other ad shows Hoffmann below the words “Fidesz: we shall introduce tuition fees, in which the word “introduce” replaces the crossed-out word “abolish”.

Socialist Party executive Csaba Winkfein told reporters on Sunday that the Socialists will hold forums in the coming weeks to discuss problems caused by the government.

Party president Attila Mesterházy will sum them up in his speech assessing 2012 on March 9.

Winkfein said the party executive had decided on the poster campaign before the arrival of Israeli-American campaign advisor Ron Werber.
