Seedling Trust Says 'Thank You' To Britannica School In Budapest
The primary at Britannica International School gave us a great reception for our 'We're all different -- we're all the same!' presentation. We were invited to present to parents, teachers and children at the school's morning assembly as part of the countdown to our May 25th Sports for Everybody Event and also to accept the school's incredibly generous nearly 300,000 Forint donation.

The school community voted to allocate the funds -- which were raised during Britannica's Christmas Fayre -- to Seedling Trust's Pet Therapy program, which we are doing in partnership with Sirius Foundation of Érd.

We talked with the kids about how to be a charity runner and also discussed several creative ways - art, music, theatre and others -- that they can volunteer in the Care Homes. Laci (pictured, foreground) and Kata from the Rege utca Care Home were there as well, and they were thrilled when the students gave them a short impromptu concert at the end.

School partnerships are an essential part of Seedling Trust's mission of building social acceptance for disabled children and young people. We're continuously working to build partnerships with other schools in the community.

We have ongoing outreach programs with Deutsche Schule Budapest over 2 years and with other schools and institutions include creating special events, involving volunteers, parents and students in charity running and building empathy and understanding in cooperation with the educational programs of Special Olympics Hungary.

Please contact us if you're a parent or school staff and would like to to be a part of our school partnerships program.
