Various levels of emergency are in effect along 700 kilometres of the River Danube, with 7500 people involved in flood protection including the National Water Directorate, the National Disaster Management Directorate, police authorities, the National Defence Force, public servants and volunteers.

The Spokesperson also announced that until Thursday morning HUF 310 million had been donated through the national solidarity donation helpline.
