17.00-18.00 When Elephants Had Wings – An Afternoon of Tales from India by Ms Csenge Zalka International storyteller Csenge Zalka brings India a little bit closer through folktales, legends and myths. From animal tales for the little ones to love stories and legends of bravery, there is an adventure awaiting everyone! Elephants will fly, gods will walk the earth, mythical animals wills talk in a human voice. Stories, they say, are always on the road, searching for an audience. Are you the one to invite them in?

18.15-19.00 Odissi dance performance by Ms Sandhyadipa Kar
Sandhyadipa is an accomplished exponent of Odissi dance. She carries the lineage of her Guru Padma Vibhusan Shri Kelucharan Mohapatra, Sandhyadipa has performed all over the world both solo and in ballets with well known exponents of Odissi dance like, Late Padma Shree Sanjukta Panigrahi. In 1990, Sur Shringar Samsad, Mumbai, felicitated Sandhyadipa with title the of “Shringarmani”. She has been in teaching and performing Odissi dance for more than 20 years and is also actively involved in promoting Odissi dance and music all over the globe. This is her 7th visit to Hungary.As she personally mentioned that she enjoys working with the people of this country and it is like her second home.

Traditional Indian folk songs from one of the best Hungarian folk singer, Ms Mária Majda Guessous, accompanied on Sitar by Mr Szabolcs Tóth and on other folk instruments by Mr Iván Barvich and Mr Dávid Boros Gerzson.

21.00-22.00 Edward Powell concert
Edward is perhaps the only one playing an authentic Indian style on a fretless guitar thanks to his double decade pilgrimage with the sitar. He designed and built the ragmakamtar himself which is a combination of a sarod and an oud. Recording artist, performer, teacher, instrument builder, traveler.
