Budai Gesztenyés Restaurant, Outdoor Gourmet Delights
The traditional cosy restaurant Budai Gesztenyés has been through numerous changes since its very first opening at the end of the 19th century. The first family run gourmet restaurant still preserves the good old flavours of the Hungarian classics, while spicing it up with some modern elements offering seasonal specialities focusing on fresh season's ingredients.

The combination of traditional Hungarian culinary and the most recent international trends, and the high quality, always fresh ingredients are there to ensure, that you have a nutritious and delicious meal in front of you whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner time. The served dishes are not overcomplicated but elegant and relevant, and the service is famous for the friendly and helpful waiters, who by the way speak fluent English.

The classy restaurant was shaped to satisfy all needs with its big terrace surrounded by grandiose chestnut trees and a playground for kids with a supervisor to take care of children while parents can calmly enjoy their meals.

Located at the border of Budapest and Budakeszi, the place is easy of access both on the way to, and back from Vienna or Balaton. Many say it’s worth the extra travelling, since Buda hills offer fresh air and silence, where you have the chance to enjoy a nice walk in the woods after a square meal.
