Jordanian Army Picks Hungarian Cheese Supplier
Dairy producer Kõröstej has become the exclusive cheese supplier to the Jordanian army for a year, winning the contract ahead of Dutch, Austrian and Australian companies.

Kõröstej will supply several hundred tonnes of processed cheese to the 100,000 members of the Jordanian armed forces from August 1.

The company expects to generate Ft 300 million from the deal.

Kõröstej projects Ft 26.5 billion in annual revenues this year, 60% of that from exports.

Kõröstej, founded in 1989 by Riad Naboulsi, exports a large part of its annual 20,000-tonne production to the Middle East. The company has 800 employees.
