Event Report: Evening Concerts At Budapest Zoo
An evening of jazz in the zoo, why not? If anything is possible, it is possible in Budapest. Well actually, as I found out, the zoo has been putting on concerts for over 100 years. Set in this exotic paradise, Judit Hernádi, with guest Gábor Heilig and the “Good Afternoon zenekar” (orchestra) performed “ Mesék rólam, rólad…” with a special appearance of one of the zoo’s animals on stage, alongside the organiser Zoltan Hanga.

This evening had everything to make an enchanting show, to a sell-out crowd. And if you did not get along to see this, there are a few more concerts planned throughout the year. Before things got going, guests were invited for a walk around the Zoo and the Palmhouse.

There were also cold and warm meals served in the garden of the Cave Restaurant, plus ice cream cups, cocktails and coffee specialties were available In the Gundel Palmhouse Café. So with everything in place the music flowed in this oasis of culture.
