Two Dead In Apartment Explosion In Budapest
The bodies of an 85-year-old woman and her 60-year-old son were found under the debris last night after an explosion on the top floor of a four-storey apartment building in Buda. The explosion near 1.30 a.m. Wednesday morning was heard several kilometres away.

The cause of the blast is unknown. Budapest authorities say the most likely explanation is a gas explosion.

The building at the corner of Pacsirtamez and Tímár streets in the Third District was deemed unsafe for dwelling, forcing 22 people to evacuate their homes.
