“Expat Love & Apartment-Theatre” At PLACCC Festival In Budapest
What do get when an Italian actor and a Dutch sound designer come together? Chaos! ;) This is Malu who is Dutch and David who is Italian. They are in love. They are living in a city they know nothing about. They are living together for the first time since knowing each other. And have around 30 people visiting them every day. It is like a walk in-walk out ‘Big Brother’ show.

Can they be happy in Budapest? Where and how do they live? These questions will be answered between 24 and 27 September, when the young couple opens their flat for four days to anyone, anytime. This exciting apartment-theatre performance can be seen at PLACCC Festival.

“ONE IN ONE: BUDAPEST” is a performance based on an idea by Ördög Tamás és Kiss-Végh Emőke, two young Hungarian actors and theatre makers, both known for their unusual performances staged in apartments. Malu and David are the protagonists of the play.
They were invited to spend some time in Budapest and create a play from their experiences.

Their everyday lives have been documented on the internet through photographs, videos and blog entries.
At the end, their experiences will be arranged in a 86-hour long play, which will be performed in their rented apartment in Budapest at PLACCC, the festival of site specific art and art in public space.

But the big question is: Will they still be friends after the project? Will they stay in Budapest? Will they come and live together finally after 2 years of being apart? Watch this space!
