Advent Celebration At The Basilica In Budapest
The festive decoration lights up for the third time in front of the Basilica where hot delicacies and a skating rink evokes Christmas atmosphere. The Basilica is dressed into colorful and magnificent lights every night – in every half an hour a video show covers the huge facade and tells about Christmas themes. Special surprises will await visitors this year, too.

During the Christmas fair high-quality artisans move into the heart of the city for a whole month and handmade chocolates, gingerbreads and chimney cakes make up the intimate setting.

Not only the joy of gastronomy but also entertaining programs attract families, such as skating courses, dance lessons of Göncöl folk dance group, photo shooting and educative sessions with the famous Hungarian breed of dog, Vizsla and its rescue team, but you can also try ice sculpting and help to decorate the square with this special decoration.

The fair also hosts the Hungarian Interchurch Aid whose volunteers greet every donators willing to support the one in need with love and a heart-shaped gingerbread. Even celebrities and surprise performances will make this year’s charity program a real celebration.

From 29 November 2013 to 1st January
Basilica, Szent István square, Budapest
