Invitation: Theatre Of Lights: Revelations, Müszi Art Centre Budapest, 11 Dec
Light has always been a powerful and sacred symbol in human history. The script for our show was originally written in consideration of the church environment and was first performed at the Church of St. Anne in Miskolc. We believe that the presence of light in churches symbolizes all those things that can make our lives better and more beautiful.

Prayers symbolize the light of love that provides strength and support through the hardest of times.

Our show – Revelations – is an adaptation of the Lord’s Prayer where we use a wide range of laser devices. András Simon, a well-known graphic designer, created our laser graphics; his unique work is spectacularly highlighted by the laser beams.

The screenplay and visualization credits go to Hermina Csömör, who has been with Goldlaser Co. for decades. It has been a long-time dream of hers to use laser lights in a church. Our prayers, as always, have been answered.

The Lord’s Prayer, the best-known prayer in the Christian tradition, has been translated into nearly every language in the world. In our modern adaptation, we tried focusing on the perfect projection of the symbols of love by means of music, still photos, motion pictures, and laser lights. Our aim is to give viewers an uplifting experience regardless of their religious views.

Fényszínház (Theatre of Lights) was founded earlier this year in order to fill the gap after the closing of Lézerszínház (Theatre of Laser). This unique photo-visual experience and powerful stage imagery awaits those enthusiastic viewers, who believe in the unquestioned significance of Hungarian contemporary theatre. Our shows work well in open areas, and we are present not only in theatres, but at alternative venues as well.

Starts at 7 p.m.
