Hungarian Party Jobbik Initiates Hearing Of Martonyi, Semjén Over Ukraine
The radical nationalist Jobbik party has called for parliament’s foreign affairs committee to hear the foreign minister and the deputy prime minister concerning the situation in Ukraine, party officials announced on Wednesday.

Jobbik wants lawmakers to be briefed about the government’s goals and plans as well as to hear an official assessment of the current situation in Ukraine, MPs Márton Gyöngyösi and István Szávay said.

The party has put forward a proposal for setting up a five-party delegation with the aim of paying a visit to Transcarpathia and meeting local ethnic Hungarian community leaders. Szávay said Hungary must firmly support the autonomy efforts of Hungarian Ukrainians there as “the intentions of the Hungarian government in this respect are invisible”.
