Invitation: NAWA Regifting Exchange Event, Budapest, 29 January
Did you receive a gift this holiday season that’s not your taste? Do you have items lying around your house that you just never use? We have the perfect way to freshen up for the New Year… the NAWA Regifting Exchange!

Find something in your home that you no longer want (but is in great condition), wrap it, and bring it to our January NAWA meeting for a gift exchange where you’ll have the opportunity to steal the perfect present for you!

Did you know that Hungarians believe that you shouldn’t throw out your garbage on New Year’s Day because you’ll be throwing away your luck? Join us for our NAWA January meeting, where our guest speaker, Edit Meszaros, will discuss Hungarian superstitions, customs and traditions. We’ll also learn how the lives and mindsets of Hungarians have changed since the end of the Soviet occupation in 1989.

Are you a dragon, or perhaps an ox or a rabbit? We’ll celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Horse, which begins January 31st, by discovering our zodiac signs and learning what’s in store for us for the upcoming year.

New Year, New Venue! Since the New Year is a time for a fresh start, we’re moving to a new venue!

Where: Radisson Blu Beke Hotel, 1067 Budapest, Terez Korut 43. (on Tram 4/6, between Nyugati pu. and Oktogon click here for map)

When: Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 10:00 to noon
Fee: Annual membership from January: 10,000 forint,
