In 2013, the Restaurant of the Year Award went to Onyx. Onyx restaurant’s two top chefs – Szabina Szulló and Tamás Széll – received the best restaurant award during the Hennessy-Dining Guide Restaurant of the Year ceremony on March 3, 2014.

Operating in the famous Gerbeaud Ház in Budapest, the internationally recognized Michelin-starred Onyx has earned this recognition for the second time, first in 2011.

On the top ten restaurants list such names are being marked as Arany Kaviár, Borkonyha, the famous Costes, Csalogány 26, Fausto's, Andy Vajna’s Nobu, The Salon, Zona, and the only rural restaurant: The 67 (located in Székesfehérvár).

During the Hennessy-Dining Guide ceremony that was organized for the 10th time in Hungary, some awards in other categories were also handed out: the prestigious “Most talented young chef of the year” title went to 22-year-old János Mizsei chef at Mák bistro; and the proud winner of the “Most progressive cuisine of the year” nomination was The Salon restaurant and its two-star chefs András Wolf and Antónió Fekete.
