Hungary’s Election Office Receives Almost All Ballot Papers Cast Abroad
The National Election Office (NVI) has received the boxes containing votes cast by Hungarians abroad in Hungary’s general election held on April 6, with the single exception of Vietnam. In all, 24,059 Hungarians cast ballots at 96 embassies and consular offices.

The ballot boxes will be opened and the votes forwarded to the relevant constituency when the one from Vietnam, containing 22 votes, arrives in Budapest.

The foreign votes, together with the ballot papers of people who voted in another Hungarian town or city than their permanent residence, will then be counted by the committees of all 106 constituencies, and the winner of the given district announced.
