Paks Nuclear Power Plant Generates Half Of Hungary’s Electricity
Hungary’s Paks nuclear power plant generated 15,370 GWh of electricity last year, accounting for 50.7% of national production and 36.4% of consumption, operator MVM Paksi Atomerőmű said on Wednesday.

Shareholders of the company, owned by the Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM), approved Paks’ 2013 report as well as the 2014 business plan and outlined as the most important task for this year obtaining the permits necessary to extend the lifespan of the plant’s block number 2.
