Pancho Aréna In Hungary Set To Open Next Monday
Pancho Aréna, the new football stadiumfootball stadium in the village of Felcsút, Fejér county, will open this coming Easter Monday. The stadium’s name comes from the Spanish nickname for legendary footballerfootballer Ferenc Puskás, after whom the football academy Puskás Ferenc Labdarúgó Akadémia (PFLA), also in Felcsút, was named.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán grew up in the village and has a home next to the stadium.

The 3,500 capacity arena was designed by late architect Imre Makovecz. Construction cost Ft 3.8 billion, however the academy has to pay only 30% of it, as the rest comes from tax-deductible corporate donations.
