Outflow Of Hungarian Health Workers Lessens
The number of health workers planning to move and work abroad has declined in the first quarter compared with the first three months of last year, Magyar Nemzet daily reported. Quoting the health authority’s authorisation office (EEKH), the paper said that by the end of March this year 477 people working in the health-care sector had requested an official work certificate as against 495 people in the same period of 2013.

And whereas in 2013, 260 doctors had acquired the necessary documents to work abroad, this year only 246 had done so. Fewer nurses also headed for other countries to work: their number declined from 149 to 133.

Typical target countries are Austria, Germany, the UK and Sweden.
