Three - Fourth Of Internet Users In Hungary Online Shoppers
A total of 3.4 million Hungarians, or 72% of regular internet users, have made at least one online purchase in the past one year, a fresh survey by eNet- Telekom showed. Of the remainder, 12% had made online purchases more than a year ago and 16% have never bought anything online.

Last year, online retail sales in Hungary reached 217 billion forints, representing 3.1% of total retail turnover. Some 5,400 Hungarianlanguage online stores operate in Hungary’s e-trade market, with the majority selling computer equipment, books, games, gifts and clothing.

Some 69% of online shoppers said they chose this form of trading because it is comfortable and 54% quoted favourable prices as the main reason. The e-trade survey was done by eNET among regular internet users aged above 18 in May 2014.
