Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Voted Third On The World’s 50 Best Hotels List
Based on a recent survey by the popular American travel magazine Travel+Leisure, readers have voted for their favourite hotels and resorts, and Budapest’s Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace took the glorious bronze medal.

“The luxury brand gave new life to the 1906 Art Nouveau structure with a $125 million restoration, and ever since, the hotel lobby has wowed visitors with its stained-glass windows, mosaic tiles, and custom-made crystal chandelier. Opt for a Danube-facing room, and plan your visit during summer to check out the nearby Festival of Folk Arts at Buda Castle.” writes the magazine about the luxurious Budapest hotel.

For 19 years T+L readers have been voting for their favourite hotels, evaluating them in categories such as value, food, service, rooms, and location. T+L editors then summarize the votes and publish the results. Among this year’s winners, three of the top ten hotels are in the USA, two are in India, another two are in South Africa, one is in Australia, one is in Costa Rica, and as the only European within the top ten, one is in Hungary.

First place went to Triple Creek Ranch in Montana. Nayara Springs Hotel in Costa Rica came in second, and Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest came in third. Southern Ocean Lodge in Australia was voted fourth, and the luxurious Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island was voted fifth.
