More Spent On Fewer Domestic Holidays By Hungarians’
Although Hungarians’ daily spending rose in 2013, total spending on domestic tourism was little changed from 2012 as both the number of trips and the time spent declined considerably, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a fresh publication.

The length of foreign trips rose but their number and per head spending fell.

Hungarians spent a total of 258 billion forints (EUR 830m) on domestic tourism trips taking several days in 2013, an amount similar in current prices to the sum spent in the previous year, KSH said.
