Hungary To Pump Eur 54m Into Building Swimming Complex
The central government and Budapest’s council will jointly finance a 17 billion forints (EUR 54.5m) development of the Dagály spa in the city’ northern 13th district with the aim of making Dagály “a national sports and spa centre,” the deputy mayor of Budapest said.

Gábor Bagdy said the project would have two phases, one to complete the facilities for the swimming and water polo world championships in 2021 and the other to refurbish the popular spa itself.

Out of the whole project, the city will finance the latter phase, at a cost of 3.5 billion forints, while the larger part of the expenses will be covered from central coffers, Bagdy said.

Building is scheduled to start in September 2015 and last 20 months.
