Bokros Says Hungarian Voters Face A Stark Choice
Voters will have to choose between the democratic West and Russia-inspired dictatorship on October 12, Budapest mayoral candidate Lajos Bokros declared yesterday. Speaking alongside Ferenc Falus, Bokros advocated openness and accountability as the cornerstones of a constitutional state governed by the rule of law.

In an interview with Népszabadság Monday evening, Bokros said the full co-operation of all democratic forces in Hungary is needed to stop the “openly and proudly undertaken illiberal dictatorship”, as there is no such thing as “illiberal democracy”.
