Budapest Mayor Tarlós Tops Poll, Falus Leads Bokros
Incumbent István Tarlós leads all other Budapest mayoral candidates with 37% support, according to a Medián poll. The survey, conducted last week, found Modern Hungary Movement candidate Lajos Bokros with less than half the support of former left-wing candidate Ferenc Falus, at 5%, versus Falus’s 12%.

Jobbik candidate Gábor Staudt has 10% support, Independent lawyer György Magyar – who has also since stepped aside – 3%, and LMP candidate Antal Csárdi 2%.

No respondent mentioned Liberal Zoltán Bodnár in the survey.

Left-wing parties withdrew Falus on the basis of a Néz pont poll that gave him less support than Bokros.

That survey, published on September 22, showed Tarlós with 50% support, Bokros at 14% and Falus at 11%.
