Harmonia Jazz Workshop, Budapest Jazz Club, 31 October
Calling all English speaking jazz lovers in Budapest to The Harmonia Jazz Workshop at the Budapest Jazz Club with a kick-off at 20.00 on Friday, 31st October 2014 proudly presents a unique meeting of two highly original musicians: Tamara Mózes & János Nagy.

The meeting of these two fantastically innovative and original musicians promises to be a real tour de force.

Singer and pianist Tamara Mózes is a unique performer of the new generation of Hungarian jazz artists. Accompanying herself she sings standards and original material with lots of improvisation. She graduated as a pianist at the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest, then went on to receive another degree in singing and improvisation in Paris where she produced outstanding results. In 2011 she received a French state scholarship. Of her tours the most memorable was her 3-week series of solo concerts in the United States. Without exaggeration or hype, one can say that her debut album was sensational.

Brilliant pianist and bandleader, János Nagy leads, among other top-class acts, Monamo and the Free Style Chamber Orchestra he also plays for European Mantra. In 1997 he was voted ’Best Soloist’ at the Getxo International Jazz Festival. In 1998 he won the coveted eMeRton Prize as „Soloist of the Year”. In 2001 at the Mediawave Festival he accompanied David Murray where he earned high praise from the American tenor-sax idol and critics of Gramofon magazine named the concert Event of the Year. Among his many talents he is noted for being one of the best accompanists around.
