Hungarian Socialist MEP Praises Outgoing Hungarian EU Commissioner
European commissioner for employment, social affairs and inclusion László Andor, the Hungarian member of the outgoing EC, will give a farewell reception in Brussels on Thursday. The mandate of the commission led by Jose Manuel Barroso will expire on Friday.

In the new EC headed by Jean-Claude Juncker, Hungary will be represented by Tibor Navracsics, commissioner for education, culture, youth and sports.

István Ujhelyi, head of the Hungarian delegation in the EP’s social democratic group, expressed thanks to Andor for his five-year work aimed at enabling “the European Union to seek for taboo-free solutions to the European countries’ social problems, especially to unemployment aggravated by the crisis.”
