CÖF: Hungary-US Dispute Can Be Settled Through Diplomatic Channels
The dispute between the United States and Hungary over the entryban issue can be settled primarily through means of diplomacy, a cofounder of the pro-government Civil Unity Forum (CÖF) said.

It follows that, for the time being, CÖF does not plan to organise a peaceful march in defence of national sovereignty, Tamás Fricz said.

A march like that would be “counterproductive” as it would give the impression of an attack on one of Hungary’s allies, the United States, he said.

László Csizmadia, another co-founder, said that the US had put Hungary in an awkward situation because of its support for the planned South Stream gas pipeline project, its agreement with Russia on the Paks nuclear plant upgrade and its policy of opening to the East.
