Vác FC Match Report: 'Top Of The Table Clash Ended In Stalemate'
This fixture, had all the ingredients for a feisty affair between the top two teams. A game where Vác FC may extend their lead or Monor SE, could they close the 6 point gap? The open game that most had expected and hoped for did not materialise. To coin a phrase, Monor 'parked the bus' and played on the counter attack. A strategy Vác are subjected to week in week out.

Monor SE 0 - Vác FC 0
Saturday Nov 8th - 13:30

Vác found it difficult to break down the 11 man defense but carved out an opportunity in the 6th minute, 'close but no cigar'. An immediate response from Monor brought out a great save and catch from the Vác keeper, David Palásthy.

Apart from a big chance in the 15th minute the first half brought little in the sense of entertainment. The home team were limited in their attacks and the visitors struggled to break down the Monor wall. The first half ended goalless. (0:0)

Head Coach: János Csank sent Gergely Rusvay onto the pitch for the second half. The club Captain returning from injury brought fire, passion and ideas to the Vác attack. The visitors controlled large parts of the second half but failed to create any clear cut opportunities.

However, ironically in the 92 minute the home team were awarded a free kick just outside the Vác penalty area. A chance for Monor to steal all 3 points. It wasn't to be and the game ended in a stalemate. (0:0)

It was obvious from the start that both teams did not want to lose but Vác clearly made a bigger effort to win. Nonetheless, a well earned point for both sides. Vác FC remain 6 points clear at the top of the NB3 Central Division after 13 matches played.

They will take on bottom club Maglódi TC this coming Saturday 15th of September, kicking off at 13:00. Come and support the 'Rising Force in Hungarian Football' at Vác City Stadium.
