FINA Gives Top Award To Hungarian Swimmer Katinka Hosszú
Katinka Hosszú of Hungary was elected Female Athlete of the Year by the international swimming federation FINA on Monday. Hosszú was presented with the distinction at a ceremony in the ballroom of the Hyatt Grand Hotel in Doha.

Hosszú won three gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals at the European Swimming Championships in Berlin this year.

In addition, Hosszú won the world cup short course series, collecting 51 first places and setting world records five times.

Chad Le Clos of South Africa was named Male Athlete of the Year.
