Record 1.4m Visitors In Hungary National Parks In 2014

A record number of 1.4 million people visited Hungary’s national parks in 2014. The number of visitors went up by 42,000 compared to 2013, the farm ministry said. The largest increase, 25%, was registered in the Bükk National Park in north-eastern Hungary.
Visitor numbers increased by over 10% in the Duna-Dráva, Fertő-Hanság, Duna- Ipoly and Körös-Maros national parks.
Hungary’s ten national parks offer a number of programmes including nature exhibitions, tours and ecotourism events.
