Sunday Shop Closures Hit Petrol Stations
The modification to the Sunday closing law was announced in the Friday issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny, thus bringing into force the new requirement that shops operated under a different entity at petrol stations must close on Sundays.

The new requirement affects, among others, shops at Shell stations, as well as shops operated at stations by the retail chain Spar, notes Magyar Hírlap.

The union Liga and the employer association Vosz will take up the issue with the Constitutional Court, citing the lack of any feasibility study or adequate preparation time to abide by the new regulation, Liga president István Gaskó told reporters on Friday.
