Hungary’s PM Orbán Comments Jobbik’s Tapolca By-Election Win
Commenting on Jobbik’s victory in Sunday’s Tapolca by-election, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that, unlike the radical nationalist party, Fidesz sees Hungary as a part of Europe. “We offer a different path for Hungary to follow,” Orbán told a news conference.

“We want Hungary tied in with Europe ... We have a job to do to make sure people find our roadmap more attractive than Jobbik’s.” Fidesz finds it regrettable that voters chose Jobbik, but they did so by “only a hair’s breadth”.

At the same time, the decision voters took must be acknowledged and respected, Orbán said in the city of Zalaegerszeg, in western Hungary, promoting the government’s Modern Cities scheme.
