Vodafone: Domestic Prices In Europe Also With Prepaid Tariffs
Vodafone carries on with the discontinuation of roaming charges, so, from May 1st, customers using prepaid cards can also use their phones at domestic prices across the European Union and several other European countries – announced Alexandre Froment-Curtil, Deputy CEO and Director of the Consumer Business Unit at Vodafone Hungary.

Since April 1st, customers subscribing for any of the new Vodafone Red EU packages have been able to use their phones in the European Union, as well as in Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey without additional charges on their standard home rates..

Parallel with the Red EU Roaming service, Vodafone introduced the World Daily Ticket, and now allows customers using prepaid cards to make calls at domestic prices in the European Union, as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.

Calls an text (SMS) messages at domestic prices

With the ’Europe at domestic prices’ option introduced by Vodafone on May 1st, customers using prepaid cards can also enjoy domestic base per-minute and text (SMS) message rates when making calls or sending home text messages from EU member states, as well as from Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland or Turkey, while receiving calls when staying at these destinations is free of charge.

The ’Europe at domestic prices’ option needs to be ordered by customers only once, and will remain in force until cancellation. By choosing this option, the receiving of calls will, of course incur no extra costs.

This service may be ordered via on-line customer services, or by texting EUHAZAI to 1270.

Data traffic with a daily ticket

Parallel with the introduction of the ’Europe at domestic prices’ option, Vodafone will also introduce the ‘Europe data daily ticket’ for customers using prepaid cards, allowing customers to use a daily data limit of 100 MB/day, for a price of 990 HUF/day. The allowance may be used up until midnight, Hungarian time, on the day of order, and it does not need to be cancelled, as it is automatically deactivated after midnight. The ‘Europe data daily ticket’ is valid in all European Union member countries, as well as in Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.

Similarly to the ‘Europe at domestic prices’ option, the daily ticket may be ordered via on-line customer services, or by texting ADATNAPI to 1270.

Vodafone’s prepaid card users can, of course, use both the ‘Europe at domestic prices’ and the ‘Europe data daily ticket’ options in tandem.
